Buffs and Group Buffs at 100

Postby Elfish Presley » Sat Mar 08, 2014 12:19 pm

What spells stack and what's the best option for group buffs and targeted buffs at 100?

In the buff department, what's expected of you in a group?

CoF spells made this really easy.

For group buffs, use Shout of the Bosquetender.

For self buffs, use the proc buff of your choice (Deafening Weapons is my default, the other two options are Devastating Impact and Jolting Shock) and use Bosquetender's Unity.

From clickies, I keep the following buffs on me :
Illusionary Spikes (slot 2 Damage Shield)
Myrmidon's Skill (slot 6 Dodge chance)
Form of Endurance (slot 5 HP buff)
Might of Stone (slot 5 ATK buff)
Soothing Breath (slot 8 Mana Regen, slot 10 HP regen)
Prismatic Ward (slot 1 all resist buff, slot 10 AC buff)
Ancestral Memories (slot 1 overhaste, slot 4 HP regen)
Thorny Shield (slot 4 Damage Shield; hard to find DS in this slot)
Requiem of Remembrance (slot 8 HP buff, slot 9 Mana buff)

Most of those should be fairly simple to acquire. The last two, however, may not be. There are only a small handful of items that have that particular DS slot (Stormeye Band being one of them). Mine is from one of the dragons in the Corrupted Temple of Veeshan. It looks like there is a 4 point DS in that slot available from four items (plus two Fabled versions of those items). The Requiem of Remembrance effect is in what are normally familiar slots, though there is a slightly weaker version available as a rare drop in Evantil (Ruaabri's Fist).

I have, but never bother to use, an Expanding Mind clicky available as well.

You may find it helpful, depending upon your group, to have one or more of the various potions sold by some vendors on hand as well. These generally occupy the same slots as PC spells, so if you have a Beastlord with you, you do not need to drink a Distillate of Spirituality. Haste, beastlord regen/mana regen, Clarity, an instant heal, a duration heal, and another effect or two are available.

Do you know if Gunthak Grit & Fortitude Clicky stack with Requiem of Remembrance (slot 8 HP buff, slot 9 Mana buff)? is slot 9 a conflict? one is mana, the other endurance.

Gunthak Grit:
1: Increase Current Mana by 5 per tick
4: Mitigate Spell Damage by 2%, 0 total
9: Increase Endurance Pool by 400
10: Increase Mana Pool by 400
11: Add effect: Gunthak Fortitude
12: AC_2 (150)

Gunthak Fortitude:
11: Increase Max Hitpoints by 600

I have neither of those, so cannot say for sure, but based on the slot usage, they should stack.

Nice input guys!

What about pre-cotf group buffs for those who haven't got it yet?

Both Shout and Unity are buffs that cast other buffs.

If you do not have Shout, then you are stuck casting the buffs it casts : the Predator buff, the Strength buff, and the Coat buff.

Same thing with the Bosquetender's Unity buff. If you do not have it, then you are stuck casting the self buffs it does for you : the Hunt killshot proc buff, Eyes mana regen/vision buff, ____coat AC/DS buff, and "the blanket buff" Protection of the ____.

As you can see, those two buffs are quite handy.
