flamsk = flemish? Admittedly I'm not familiar with the lingustic characteristics of the low countries but isnt Flemish basically the same as Dutch? Does it even reach dialectal diferentiation?

yes.

Both sounds like a thoat disease to me :wink:
Since I dont speak Dutch besides a few words I am not 100% positive, but I think that its a seperate language, but close related to dutch, just like I as a Dane can understand and talk to someone from Norway, but most likely with even less difference than that.

Kae I think you need to travel to europe more, think about all those languages you dont know enough about hehe :)

I completely agree. I'd be one happy clam if I could spend a few years studying the various European languages that interest me.

But, all is not lost! Heading to South America in August, but only for about 3 weeks =/ I so need tenure.

I saw this subtitled in english once somewhere.

It's an Oprah type of talk show, the interviewer is interviewing a couple about the man's botched operation. It seems he accidently had his balls removed and now talks in that high pitched voice.

Oddly enough, the problem with their marriage isn't that he lost his balls, it's that his high pitched voice annoys his wife and is ruining their marriage! :lol:

:: EDIT ::
Found it! Here's the subtitled version:

I couldn't understand the whole thing in the orginial video but I understood enough to know that the man's sexuality was in question, she wasn't happy about it, and the deep throat person in the back just made it a thousand times harder for the host to maintain his 'cool'. I feel for the host, I would have lost every time the guy opened his mouth as well.

After watching this again this morning I just realized what that silly voice reminds me of which made me laugh even harder (which is a very bad thing because I may be going in for an emergency tonsilectomy*?* today).

I'm sure everyone here as seen the original Porky's, right? C'mon, it's a classic and in the catagory of 'best comedy of it's time" so I'm sure most of you have seen it.

Picture the shower sceen when he sticks his 'willy' through the wall and it starts 'talking' to the girls in the shower room. "Hi, I'm Pauly the penis". That's the voice !!! That guy was really Pauly the Penis !! OMG it hurts!!! :lol: I wish I knew if I could mix Penicillin with Percocet. ooohhhh
