Where do you get the clicky shrink wand? I was on a raid last night and everyone else (except tanks) was skrunk and I was still big.. I was really nervous and felt out of place

Koxiux from The Deep. You can kill him the problem is to get there. I was trying for 1 hour and didn't get there, dammit!

After you cross the invisible bridge turn right and follow that route while invised. Just con everything ahead of you. I made it there once with no see invis in the way although usually there were one or two.

It took me about 30 hours total and 12 or so named pops before the wand dropped.

Thought I would add this one to the sticky clicky list. It's a "must have" for Rangers and any non-pet melee class in my opinion. Actually, pet classes (beastlord and shadowknight) can use this as well if they know what they're doing to get the stats from the totem pet and still use their real pet.

http://lucy.allakhazam.com/item.html?id=53687

How to do this as a Ranger SOLO:

Go to Icefall Glacier. In the NE corner near the Valdeholm zone is a small fort. Using your 14 minute snare, snare the mobs at the doorway and kite them south a bit. Then run back to the door and open it. Snare any mob in there and the rest will add on you. Kite southward and snare all mobs. *Bears shouldn't assist them as you should be amiable to bears being a Ranger*. Now zone into Valdeholm, invis, and zone back in to Icefall. Run to the fort and go inside. Get behind the quest NPC to the left past the fence and use SNEAK and hail him. Keep getting behind him every time you make a response as he will turn to face you. Once you are done and have the 3 pieces of meat, take sneak off, re-invis, and run out of the fort and south down the cliff and then turn up towards the wizzy spires.

This next step can be a bit tricky, but if done right you will have no problems. You WILL get hit a few times, so you should have some HOT X potions with you.

Enter the kobold caves that are on your right as you run towards the spires from The Steppes zone in. Nothing "should" see invis. Locate all 3 of the cages in advance so you know where you have to go. Now, go to the first cage that you want to do and get on the wall as far away from mobs as you can behind the cage. Using your 14 minute snare (always when doing this quest), snare the mob closest to you. See which mobs add and snare them too. Click your HOT potion and start running out of the cave. As soon as you get out of melee range of the kobolds that you're snaring, hit your innate camo (a must have for this, really). Run out of the cave and down the hill. Kite as necessary the adds that will chase you unsnared until you see the snared mobs come out of the cave. Zone to the steppes. Invis and zone back in, run to the cave you just cleared, hit the cage a couple of times until it breaks, and give the meat to the wolf.

Do the same as above for the other 2 cages. When all 3 cages have been destroyed and all 3 meats given to the wolves in said cages, you are ready for the next step.

Kill 10 kobolds. This can be easily done outside the cave at the bottom of the hill. The goblins are too far away to agro and you're indifferent or amiable to all animal mobs that will roam here. These mobs are easily split using our wonderful outdoor only Harmony line  Snare and kite or snare and root-n-shoot. It's your call. Just kill 10. Then on to the final step.

Go back to the fort near Valdeholm zone line and snare all mobs again and zone into Valdeholm. Invis and zone back in to Icefall, enter the fort again, take off invis, hit sneak, get behind the quest mob and hail him. Done. Grats, you now have your wolf totem that adds regen and 6% to double attack.

*NOTE* Clicking this totem WILL use 1 buff slot. So if you're short on buff slots, you'll have to decide if you want the dps boost or that resist or regen spell that the shaman cast on you.

I've done this several times for guildies and haven't had a death yet. Sometimes a kobold will warp back into the cage room, but they don't really hit that hard (800-ish max, 200 average) so it can be beat down without agroing the mobs at the other side of the room if necessary. As with any mobs you solo toe-to-toe, I would suggest Nature's Balance to debuff, Earthcaller to slow, and heal pots for you.

Good luck and have fun getting this great clicky.

I think you can skip the 'snare them all' step here. I only snared one wolf pup, and the rest move back to their pen so slowly I had tons of time to do the hails and the turn ins.

I like the idea for clearing the cage. I just kept a bot cleric handy and invis for the odd rez, but your way sounds slicker.

I got next to the cage I wanted to open, with my finger over innate camo key, hit auto attack twice (1 round) and innate camo key very fast, keep doing this as camo resets and the cage will eventually break with no agro
then to give the meat, put it on cursor, and click on the wolf twice (once to break invis, other to trade), then camo right after, hit trade and its free.
If you happen to be a victim of bad timing, just kite them out until they lose agro.

I just finished this today. I got this to work occasionally, but I after getting aggro a couple times and having to WS gate (I don't have the AAs/Gear to make it out safely, I'd have to get really lucky) I decide there was a better use of my WS, lol.

There is one that that trick worked 100% for me. I forget the exact room, but it's the one where the mobs are furthest from it. After getting one the IC way, find your next cage and use my "safe but slow" method. Put the meat on your cursor and target the cage. Get in range of the wolf, but keep your back to the wall. Nuke the cage (should break first hit), then pop WS. Mobs will aggro. Give the wolf the meat. At this point, either run out if you can, or chug a gate pot (or origin).

Run back to IG and work on killing your 10 kobolds. Once WS is back up, do the same thing again for the last cage. It probably takes a little longer than the other two methods, but you should be able to pull it off safely even if you have crummy gear.

Direwolf Totem of Battle doesn't stack with the Ring of Organic Darkness; they both have a regen component

These are the ones I actually use:

Bracelet of the Shadow Hive
Gloves of Warding
Vengeful Mail of the Void
Cloudburst Chainmail Mantle - (Previously used Ring of Organic Darkness but gave to my warrior... I'm on FV, btw)
Tiny Bone Bracelet
Dark Cloak of the Sky

I have a lot of others banked (and toys like Scimitar of the Mistwalker) but I don't really use 'em.

There is no way I could compete with the impressive numbers or high end items. As such I won't bore people with the weak list I could compile. But here is one clicky I AM proud of.

Breezeboot's Frigid Gnasher!!!!

Fun to break out every once in a while to get the "What is that?" and "Where did you get that?" tells from people who weren't around so many years ago. Still one of the more fun weapon graphics.

I spent far too much time looking for the ground spawn Western Wastes.
Yes, that Lithledana...if anybody remembers....the once somewhat uber ranger.

When I got Direwolf Totem of Battle I was pretty excited, but I did some parsing on test and it showed no increase in Double attack rate nor DPS whatsoever from our normal 4% buff. I was pretty disappointed. I have mine in the bank since that time.

Unfortunately, I destroyed all my parsing data from beta and test when I thought I had retired for good. Seems it was a 4 hour parse for both comparing Paw vs Totem. Same exact result.
